Local Label Love: Sapling Child

It’s often one of the first brands mums seek out for their newborns because of the soft tones, sweet prints and organic cotton softness. The label’s rapid rise in popularity (Prince George had Sapling in his newborn wardrobe!) is due to the hard work and beautiful, approachable nature of designer and owner Peta Stinson.

How long has Sapling Child been making bubs look (even more) adorable? We are about to celebrate our third year of being in this amazing business.

Local Label Love: WallFry

Picture this – the perfect nursery or play room for your little one, the centrepiece being some original artwork hanging on the wall designed by Melbourne mum-of-three Kylie Jackson. If you haven’t seen these cute and colourful “wall art for small fry” prints, then have a peek. Picture perfect.

Name & business: Kylie Jackson, WallFry

What do you create? I create art for children’s spaces. We have a range of bold, modern prints and offer customers the option to customise their artwork to co-ordinate with their space.

When did you start? I first started painting artwork for children back in 2008 when I was pregnant with my first child. We were living in Dubai and couldn’t find anything suitable so created my own. Not long after that WallFry was born and it has grown from there to become hugely popular.

Santa Claus is coming to Melbourne town

It’s December 1, so who’s excited? Santa Claus is coming!

Millie – one of the luckiest one-year-olds in Melbourne – was one of the VIP guests at the City of Melbourne’s Christmas launch on Friday.

Millie was mesmerised by all the Christmas cheer in the CBD

Having Millie has renewed my love for the festive season (we escaped the ‘fuss’ back home and travelled to New York for Christmas two years ago). This year we’ve put our stockings up, bought a tree & hubby has switched on the outdoor fairy lights. (more…)
