School holidays are drawing to a close which means thousands of Aussie preppies are about to walk through the school gates for the first time. All the memories of a summer at home or away will soon make way for new experiences.

But what about the mums and dads who will still have their little sidekicks for another year or two? The mighty fine weather will continue long after this week and there’s still lots of fun to be had.

Ballerina dances into cinemas for tutu cute holiday fun

ballerinastill_01

If you have a child anything like mine, you’ll be used to them twirling, leaping and spinning through the house. All day. Whether they have ballet lessons or not, one thing’s for sure: dancing equals happiness.

It will be double happiness these school holidays when the adorable animated feature film Ballerina opens at cinemas next week. Best of all, we have three Ballerina prize packs to give away to celebrate.

Roll up, roll up! It’s Show time!

The Royal Melbourne Show was the highlight of my year as a child. My brother and I would have circled the showbags we wanted from the newspaper’s Show Guide – never missing out on the Bertie Beetle bag – and be bursting with excitement about the day’s adventure. The photographs taken each year of us in the Animal Nursery are among our most treasured for capturing a moment in time. Where Santa goes to shop

There’s 40,000 square metres of Giftorium goodness across all Myer stores this year, leaving little chance for anyone not to find the perfect pressies this Christmas.

Offering more than 2.5 million products, Giftorium has toys, homewares, games and puzzles, fashion and cosmetics all grouped into seven themed areas. I plan to take my list to level 6 of Myer Melbourne and tick off all my Chrissy shopping in one afternoon. I’m super confident it can be done!
